GGGI works with the Indonesia Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral/ESDM) to support efforts for greener growth in energy sectors. The program supports planning and development of concrete and bankable projects in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sub-sectors.

The program places substantial emphasis on a landscape based approach when forest, peat and land play a curcial role in providing multiple services to society. GGGI works with the Indonesia Ministry of Environment and Forestry in mainstreaming green growth principles and tools in development and economic plans within a jurisdiction. Resource efficient technologies and environmentally sustainable practices are encouraged in the forest and agriculture sector.

GGGI works with the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (Kemenko Perekonomian) and DN KEK to develop an integrated framework of policy guidelines and instruments that will link macro-level fiscal and investment policies towards SEZs, ultimately leading to green investment plans and bankable projects in SEZs.

GGGI works with the Indonesia Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional/BAPPENAS) in developing green growth strategies, tools and frameworks, and ensure they are applicable across each of the above sectors, as well as by other sectors. Awareness raising and capacity building support will have similar multi-sectoral targets and applications.
